New director announced for ‘Spider-Man 4′
January 21st, 2010 - 11:02 am ICT by IANSLos Angeles, Jan 21 (DPA) Marc Webb, the director of romantic comedy “(500) Days of Summer”, has been tapped to direct “Spider-Man 4″, Sony Pictures announced Wednesday.
The move came just a week after the departure of Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire, the director and star of the first three “Spider-Man” blockbusters, as producers hope try to inject a younger dynamic into the classic comic book adaptation.
The new movie will focus on the teenage experiences of Spider-Man’s alter ego Peter Parker. No-one has yet been cast in the Spider-Man role.
