London, Aug 12 (ANI): The new Tomb Raider cyber babe Lara Croft role has been bagged by Alison Carroll a receptionist at a golf club.

Carroll, 23, from Croydon, was unveiled on August 11 as the public face and body of the Tomb Raider icon, after beating hundreds of other girls to the coveted role.

She will now travel the globe meeting fans of the hit computer adventures and act out stunts from the game, and one thing she does not want in her life right now is to get into a relationship.

“I”m single and having fun, I”m not looking for a long-term relationship as most men can”t keep up with me, The Sun quoted Carroll as saying.

“But playing Lara Croft, the sexiest game heroine there is, should get me a few more dates!” she stated.

The role will see Carroll dressed up in the famously tight costume, following in the footsteps of models Nell McAndrew and Lucy Clarkson who both shot to fame playing the sexy archaeologist.

Karima Adebe, who is an ex-Top Shop worker, had previously played the role.

“I felt so good pulling on the costume for the first time. So confident and in control. I really felt like an action heroine,” Carroll said.

Tomb Raider games are a phenomenon across the world and have sold more than 32 million copies since the first was released in 1996.

They also spawned two blockbuster movies starring Angelina Jolie. (ANI)
