Now that we have all seen the season finales of ABC’s popular primetime television series such as, Modern Family, Cougar Town, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice and Brothers & Sisters. The network is about to bring on new comedy and drama series for our enjoyment. Some shows that we loved will be canceled and new time slots will have us searching for the shows that remained. Don’t be upset that your laughter and tears are being dismissed; more comedy and dramas will replace the ones that were lost.

Better Together- A comedy pertaining to a couple that has been involved for 9 years with no need for marriage. They are happy and content just being together, until Maddie’s younger sister announces she is engaged and having a baby. This news has Maddie rethinking her relationship with her partner Ben.

No Ordinary Family- No this is not a spin off to Modern Family. It is a family who tries to get back their relationship as a family. In the process of Jim (the father) planning a vacation their plan crashes in the Amazon River, of course they survive and are now stranded. Wait it gets better! Each family member now possesses a unique power and has to figure out why they were given these powers.

Detroit 1-8-7- We will follow along with Detroit Michigan police officers and detectives on some of the nations most dangerous streets.

The Whole Truth- Demonstrates how prosecutors and defense attorneys build a case from start to finish, leaving the viewers guessing the outcome until the final verdict is revealed.

My Generation- A camera crew has documented a class of high school graduates from the year 2000. Ten years later they reconnect with the class from Austin, Texas and see how their lives have changed since high school.

Finishing up the week is Secret Millionaire- An hour show that allows the viewers an inside look of how millionaires live and then they are forced to give it all up and volunteer their services and live in some of the poorest areas and never reveal their true identities. This show could be very interesting and a real eye opener for many of these millionaires.

Last we have Body of Proof- Starring Dana Delaney from Desperate Housewives. A devastating accident forces Megan (Dana) to give up her career as a neurosurgeon and return to her former career as a medical examiner. I hope this is not another CSI drama. We were first introduced to her character on an episode of Castle.

Well there you have it, a list and brief description of the upcoming series that ABC has laid out. Many sound familiar and others sound like they won’t get past the first five or so episodes. But whom I am to judge, I loved “What about Brian” and we all know how that ended . I keep hoping another network will bring it back, but after three years or has it been four, I don’t think that is going to happen.
