Netflix signs a streaming deal with Disney

netflix New York, Dec 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Netflix has signed a new streaming deal with Disney. As part of the deal, now Netflix will be able to stream TV shows which are a part of the Disney Channel as well as ABC TV. This deal was officially announced by the Netflix top bosses today.

Netflix has lately been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Recently Netflix also had to bid goodbye to their Chief financial officer – Barry McCarthy. After that Netflix was also rumored to have a very weak content backup because of their reputation in the entertainment industry. There were also rumors that Netflix would take a beating soon and ultimately slow down.

However the bashers had to eat their words, when out of the blue Netflix managed to strike a deal with Disney and ABC TV. When CEO of Netflix – Reed Hastings announced the deal then its competitors had to eat their words out.

However despite the deal, Netflix stock decreased by almost 2% and was said to be at $184.43.

According to reports, after the deal now Netflix is all set to stream episodes from successful shows such as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Brothers & Sisters”, “Phineas and Ferb” and “Good Luck Charlie.”
