London, Nov 30 (ANI): Nelson Mandela has invited singer Jamelia perform at a concert meant to highlight World AIDS Day in South Africa.
The 26-year-old singer is going to play the MTV gig in Johannesburg on Dec 2.
According to a source, the former president of South Africa and the singer met two years back in London, where they had a conversation over global issues.
They met at a famine relief rally in London two years ago and talked global issues, The Sun quoted the source, as saying.
Besides this, Jamelia recently revealed that she would have loved to become a child psychologist, if not a singer.
She admitted that she really wanted to take up the profession, and that she had always wanted to work with kids. (ANI)
