While making the announcement on Saturday, the actor added that the couple is super ‘excited/nervous/ thrilled’ about the new prospect in their lives.

Neil Patrick Harris, who has been dating the actor/chef for about six years now, revealed through Twitter that both of them expect that the press would respect their privacy at this moment. Since the news of the couple gearing up to welcome the twins has surfaced, congratulations has been pouring in from various quarters with Adam Shankman of “So You Think You Can Dance” being one of the very first to offer his good wishes to the couple via Twitter. In the meanwhile, a leading news source has reported that David Burtka and his partner are going to welcome a son and a daughter in their lives later in the month of October this year. Despite the fact that the “Doogie Howser” has validated that news that they are on the way to assume the responsibilities of fatherhood, the actor has been tight-lipped about the gender of the twins.
