Neal Boortz Show Producer Royal Marshall Passes Away At 43

Jan 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) People who are the ardent fans of the Neal Boortz show are shattered as Raymond Royal Marshall, who was the producer of the talk show, is no more. He might have been a producer, but he was as much a radio personality as Neal Boortz himself. Royal Marshall died of a heart attack, an investigator with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office told the media on Monday. Royal Marshall, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. The medical examiner said that the death was due to a heart attack caused by hypertensive cardiovascular disease. He was 43 at the time of his demise.
Neal Boortz recalled that Royal Marshall would occasionally butt in to his talk show with the breezy observation, saying that the host, Neal Boortz is not correct in some of his opinions. the producer freely offered informed opinions on the topic that was being discussed on that day, even if his opinions differed from the host’s. Neal Boortz went on to say that they had a great time together and it was fun to work with a producer like him. Royal Marshall passed away on Saturday, but until yesterday, the cause of his death could not be determined. Neal Boortz reported that the producer told his wife he was not feeling well and walked into a bathroom in their home. No sooner he walked into the bathroom, than he collapsed on the floor. Royal Marshall was immediately rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital but unfortunately could not be revived.
Marshall’s funeral would be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ray of Hope Christian, a DeKalb County church where he had remained a member for 18 years. Last year, Marshall was named a deacon at the church. Royal Marshall is survived by his two daughters Ava, 2, and Amira, 4 and wife Annette.
