June 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) R& B singer, song writer Ne-Yo and his girlfriend Monyetta Shaw are expecting their first child early next year. The excited soon-to-be father said this to a reputed media source and has also mentioned that his first child is on the way and he is “very very” excited about it. The couple, who started dating earlier this year, is basking in the glory of expected parenthood these days.

Ne-Yo called his tiny-tot as “New Year’s baby” and says that he is in his best of moods these days. The rapper flew down to Atlanta from his promotional tour for his new album “Libra Scale” to be with her girlfriend Monyetta Shaw during her first ultrasound. However, the doctors could not determine the gender of the baby as the baby was curled up inside the womb. Ne-Yo jokingly said that the baby was “stubborn” but that the baby did not get “that one” from him. Ne-Yo added that he had been thinking about kids lately and said that he is all ready to be a protective father and it was evident when he said that he does not know how he would react if someone asks his daughter for a date. Ne-Yo’s family is also very excited about the baby and in an interview his mother Loraine Smith said that she was excited to become a grandmother and about Monyetta Shaw she said that they have embraced the Hollywood actress and love her to death.

“The much acclaimed Ne-Yo seems excited and anticipating his first child with great expectations. The star had a not so good experience before as her ex-girlfriend gave birth to a son Chimere whom Ne-Yo thought his own baby, but later it he discovered that he is not the biological father of the baby. This incident left the singer stunned and resulted in their breakup.
