conan-obrien New York City, Jan 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) NBC’s late night reshuffle has upset many people and particularly Conan O’Brien who is the host of the ‘Tonight Show’. NBC is planning to shift Jay Leno’s show to its former slot after 11 pm. And this implies that the other programs after the Jay Leno show get shifted as well. For the Tonight Show it means that the show will now start after midnight.

Conan O’Brien isn’t particularly happy with the NBC’s late night reshuffle. Because the ‘Tonight Show’ would then start when it is no longer officially night. Seth Meyer, on Saturday Night Live, said: “It’s a little weird to start “The Tonight Show” at a time when it’s no longer tonight,” as the show would then have the telecast time of 12:05 am.

Conan is mighty miffed with NBC and there are suggestions that he might shift to their rival channel Fox too. Fox executives have also expressed some interest in O’Brien and they might offer him a show that starts at 11 p.m. EST. Conan O’Brien had waited five years after being promised the “Tonight” show and its time slot after the late local news. He moved his family and staff from New York to California. And he took all those pains for a show that lasted just 6 months.
