NBC unveils the ‘Betty White’s off their Rockers’ show
April 1st, 2011 - 1:39 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Mar 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Betty White at the beginning of the year announced that she would be “going away for a while” but that does not seem to be so. The 89-year-old’s new show is set to hit the screens pretty soon.
In a statement released by NBC, the Executive Vice President of the network, Paul Telegdy, said that, “Betty White is a comedic genius who escalates hilarity in any situation… Viewers will thoroughly enjoy watching her pull one over on the unsuspecting youth of America.”
The announcement on Thursday unveiled the show “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers”. The show would reverse the age-long prank that young people play on elder people. The show’s producers explained that a group of elderly pranksters would play hidden camera tricks on unsuspecting youth on the streets. White would be the executive producer of the show.
White has received seven Emmys in her career and NBC is definitely a network that she has attachment to. White’s other work on NBC, “The Golden Girls”, did run for seven seasons on the network. However it was her recent hosting gig on the show “Saturday Night Live” that earned her the seventh Emmy award.
