NBC Exec Blames Conan O’Brien

Recently, the officials declared to interchange the time of the shows hosted by well-known hosts like Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel and Jay Leno. It appears that the alterations of timing has not only offended the hosts but also has affected the popularity of the shows. While Jay Leno decided to quit the show, Conan O’Brien is facing difficulty to retain the viewership of his program in the new timing. When Conan O’Brien is already facing problems with new airing time, an executive of NBC has blamed him for sticking to his own decision and not following the ideas of the network.

In a recent interview given to a major print media outlet, Dick Ebersol, an executive of NBC said that Conan O’Brien, who is highly acclaimed show hosts has not been enough successful to retain the popularity of his show. He appeared to be disappointed with Conan O’Brien and remarked some of his works as an “astounding failure.” Dick Ebersol also said that he appreciates Conan O’Brien personally and does not have any problem with him. However, he did not like his stubborn attitude. During the interview, he said that Conan O’ Brien was unwilling to increase the appeal of his show in the way they recommended.

It has also been reported that after facing some controversial situations, Conan O’Brien has decided to break his association with the network. Sources stated that the channel has offered him around $30 million for his exit but the officials have not yet confirmed this news.
