jay2Jan 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jay Leno, of the popular talk show “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno“, has announced that he will be leaving the time slot that was assigned to the show earlier. This has come after the announcement made by NBC, the network in which the show is aired, that it would be shifting the show forward, a decision that would have pushed the other shows hosted by the likes of Jimmy Kimmel and Conan O’Brien by almost an hour each. Following the decision, which was mostly been described as a mess, Jay Leno decided that he would be bidding the show goodbye.

The show used to be aired at 10 in the night, and its going off air, reportedly after the Winter Olympics have taken place, has left the network, NBC, with the great trouble of filling up the huge gap between the other shows. Soon, however, the channel came up with replacements. The network has announced that it would be replacing the show, which came on air every weekday, with a number of other shows.

It has been declared that on Mondays, “Law And Order” would be taking the place of “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno”. On Tuesdays, the time slot will be filled up by the popular show “Parenthood.” The slot will be taken up by “Law And Order: Special Victims Unit”, which will be aired for two hours at a stretch, the first hour a repeat of the previous episode, and the next one a new episode. Thursdays, Jerry Sienfield will be taking over with his reality show “The Marriage Ref,” and on Fridays, it will be the turn of ‘Dateline NBC.”
