NBC and Conan O’Brien officially part ways

conan Los Angeles, Jan 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) NBC and Conan O’Brien are finally parting ways and Conan had also signed the severance agreement with the channel. Conan O’Brien’s manager also confirmed this deal. NBC also confirmed the news quite early in the morning and said that the deal has been signed, and they would issue a statement for the press later in the day.

The severance deal would bring in around $32 million for Conan O’Brien, and his staff would get around $12 million. And 22nd January would mark the day as the last show for Conan O’Brien. He is roping in big guests for all the leftover episodes of the Tonight Show. It is rumored that on 21st January, the guests would be Robin Williams and the famous singer Barry Manilow. Whereas the final episode on Friday would probably feature Tom Hanks and Will Ferrell.

Conan O’Brien is barred from working for any other channel before the 1st of September 2010. He is also not supposed to give any kind of interviews to the media and neither can he bad-mouth his NBC bosses, for a short interval of time. And during this time interval NBC has also agreed that it will not also speak ill about Conan O’Brien.
