netflixSep 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) NBC have expanded their partnership with Netflix that will enable the viewers to watch an array of popular shows such as “Saturday Night Live” and every episode of the last season of ‘30 Rock’, ‘The Office’ and ‘Law & Order:SVU’ and all PREVIOUS and coming season of “Friday Night Lights”. The deal adds even more content on Netflix as it will allow Netflix to keep the previous content of shows provided by NBC.

The deal is supposed to start from this week but neither of the two companies have specified the time duration of the deal. The content of Netflix will increase rapidly with the video site gaining more in business with its new array of show content. It has been reported that all episodes of the SyFy series “Battlestar Galactica” will be made available on the service. The decision for this deal came after the CEO of NBC said that he did not want any of their content to be available via the new Apple TV. In his statement the CEO of NBC, Jeff Zucker said that he feels that providing their content via Apple TV will devalue their content.

The deal is very much beneficial to Netflix whose content increase will greatly expand its business. Netflix appears to have made a good deal which is a strong step by its owners to secure strong shows and films for themselves. Netflix has also signed a deal with Starz to carry that network’s content and is being seen as a wise move in the market.
