Nayaka complete; set for a May release
April 28th, 2010 - 6:41 pm ICT by Sampurn WireApril 28, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Actor Naveen, who started his career with the Tamil State Award winning film Kadhale En Kadhale, will be making his Kannada debut with Nayaka. Naveen, who originally hails from Bangalore, will be starring opposite Ragini Dwivedi in Nayaka, which has been directed by PC Shekhar, of Kadhale En Kadhale fame.
Naveen and PC Shekhar are childhood friends and they started off with making short films together. They kicked off the shoot of Nayaka without holding any formal muhurtha. And now the film has completed shooting. They haven’t planned on any marketing strategies or publicity gimmicks for the film, which is why, according to the director, the film is still unknown.
Nayaka revolves around love before and after marriage. Actress Ragini Dwivedi has a lot of scope in the movie to show her acting skills. Naveen, in the meantime, is excited to see how the audience will receive him. The movie is set for a May release.
Produced by P Ramesh Kumar and J Pradeep Kumar, the movie features Naan Kadavul Rajendra, Rajendranath and Sivaji in important roles. The camera has been handled by Murali Krish. Pravin Dath Stephen has scored the music and Arjun has done the re-recording for the film in 53 days.
