Nate Berkus to get his own show in 2010

New York City, Nov 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Oprah Winfrey’s prodigy Nate Berkus is all set to get his own syndicated television program.
Winfrey’s Harpo Productions and Sony Pictures Television are finalizing plans to launch a syndicated weekday program hosted by Nate Berkus next fall, according to a report from Broadcasting & Cable Editor-in-Chief Ben Grossman.
Nate Berkus has been a featured design expert for The Oprah Winfrey Show since he first started out in 2001, and he already hosts his own show on Winfrey’s satellite radio channel. He also hosted Winfrey’s 2008 ABC reality series, Oprah’s Big Give.
“The Oprah Winfrey Show,” carried by ABC-owned WLS-Ch. 7 in Chicago, has featured Berkus as a design expert for eight years. He also has a program on Winfrey’s Sirius XM satellite radio channel and was host of last year’s ABC reality show, “Oprah’s Big Give,” for Harpo. He also blogs for the Web site of HSN, the TV shopping channel that carries his designed products.
