nate-ber Sep 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nate Berkus, a “style guru” from Chicago has made over eighty appearances on the Oprah Winfrey show, rising to fame in much the same way as Dr. Phil McGraw, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Rachel Ray, and is now branching off on his own, the same way these celebrities did, by creating his own daytime television show, simply called “The Nate Show”.

The thirty-eight year old will premiere his New York based show today, and is expected to feature celebrities along with design segments. His main focus, however, is said to be conversation with regular, everyday people. Some of the first few guests on his show will include such names as Dolly Pardon and Elizabeth Edwards.

The openly gay designer, who lost his boyfriend to the Thailand tsunami of 2004, stated to ‘New York Magazine’, “Basically it’s an art show. There’s going to be a lot of design — a lot of beautiful high-quality design, but in a way that people can achieve that’s really accessible.”

Readers who wish to be one of those “regular everyday people” who will guest on his show, or those who wish to get tickets to be in the audience, can do so on the show’s official website. A full list of times and stations to watch is also available through that link.
