Natasha Richardson Severely Injured in Ski Accident

Natasha Richardson British actress Natasha Richardson was severely injured at a skiing accident in Montreal, Canada. According to reports her injury is critical and she is said to have had a traumatic brain injury, although the extent of the injury is not known.

Natasha belongs to the Redgrave acting dynasty and is the daughter of legendary actress Vanessa Redgrave and actor and director Tony Richardson. She is the grandchild of Sir Michael Redgrave and the sister of Joely Richardson. It was not reported if her husband, actor Liam Neeson, is with her at the moment. But the Schindler’s List and Star Wares Episode 1 actor has reportedly flown to Montreal from Toronto to be with her.

Natasha was set to star with her mother in a Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “A Little Night Music”. She was skiing at the Mont Tremblant resort in Quebec, which is eastern Canada’s top ski resort patronized by several celebrities including Tommy Hilfiger, Micheal Douglas, and Jacques Villeneuve. Richardson, 45, was taken to the intensive care unit of the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal at around 5 pm after being taken to entre Hospitalier Laurentien, which is closer to the ski resort.

Neeson has been married to Richardson since 1994 and the couple have two sons, Micheál Richard Antonio, 13, and Daniel Jack, 12. Natasha has appeared in around 30 movies, including The Parent Trap, Nell and Maid in Manhattan. She won a best actress Tony Award in 1998 for her role in Sam Mendes’ Broadway play Cabaret and then got critical acclaim for her role as Blance DuBois in a Broadway revival of A Streetcar Named Desire.
