Los Angeles, Dec 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The pretty actress Natalie Portman is all set to star and produce ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.’ This movie is based on the bestselling book by Seth Grahame-Smith and Jane Austen, according to a report in Variety.

Natalie Portman will play the feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet in the film, in which bloodthirsty flesh-eating zombies have been added into Jane Austen’s classic plot. Other details regarding the additional cast and the shooting schedule have still not being announced.

This adaptation is like the classic Jane Austen novel ‘Pride and Prejudice’ but it also has a deadly pandemic that turns the undead into vicious killers, which gives the classic story a whole new twist. And according to Variety, Natalie Portman will also produce this movie.

In this movie, Portman will essay the character role of Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine who’s on a mission to stop the zombies but ends up getting distracted by the hero Mr. Darcy. Natalie Portman will produce the movie with Annette Savitch. Savitch said that, “Natalie and I are longtime passionate fans of Jane Austen’s books and this is a fresh, fun and thought-provoking way to approach her work. The idea of zombies running rampant in 19th Century England may sound odd, but it lends a modern sense of urgency to a well known love story.”

Natalie Portman has also acted on Broadway in The Diary of Anne Frank and done a fabulous job in The Seagull. Her upcoming films are Thor, Your Highness, Black Swan, and Hesher.
