Natalie Portman engages in ‘gratuitous nudity’ in ‘Your Highness’
October 11th, 2010 - 5:40 pm ICT by ANINew York, Oct 11 (ANI): Natalie Portman engages in gratuitous nudity in her role as Isabel for her forthcoming flick ‘Your Highness’.
Slapstick humour and B-movie special effects have been juxtaposed with a lingering shot of the actress’ rear in a thong in the medieval comedy, reports the New York Daily News.
Portman plays a kick-butt warrior princess who has a penchant for swimming in next to nothing.
Though she appeared fully nude in Wes Anderson’s short film ‘Hotel Chevalier’ and showed much of her behind as a stripper in ‘Closer,’ this is the first film in which the 29-year-old actress’ nudity is simply offered up as an eyeful for the audience.
Danny McBride co-writer and star of the movie has admitted jocularly to having ‘gratuitous nudity’ in the weed-friendly homage to 1980s camp fantasies like ‘Conan the Barbarian’ and ‘Beastmaster.’
“We pride ourselves on historical inaccuracies. We did research to do it wrong,” he said.
“Your Highness” is set for release April 8, 2011. (ANI)
