ritika7Oct.22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The new Vegan addition to Hollywood may well be the ‘Star Wars’ actress Natalie Portman. During an interview given to a source, Natalie was noticed sitting in a ‘Vegan’ Restaurant in Manhattan, having a soy-cheese sandwich. However, some of the people in the same restaurant went on snapping her pictures from their mobile phones, which she ignored.

Her becoming Vegan is the result of reading a book, named ‘ Eating Animals’. The book is essentially categorized as a non-fiction. The book has been written by the author Jonathan Safran Foer, who is famous for writing ‘Everything is Illuminated’, which was turned into a movie starring the ‘Lord Of The Rings’ actor- Elijah Wood. Portman said that she’ll be seen fighting for the rights of animals in the future. According to her, having different opinions is allowed, but then torturing animals is one thing that is not. Portman is also trying to raise awareness about how important it is for the female sex to be educated. She is involved with a non-profit micro finance organization known as FINCA. Portman has made a commitment of six years to the NPO.

Recently, Portman’s movie released on 16th October, ‘New York, I Love You’. The movie is a collection of 11 short works and included a number of other stars. It has been receiving mixed reviews from critics. Earlier this year, in June, the ‘Closer’ actor was rumored to have fallen from a height of 60 feet in New Zealand, meeting her death. She was another incident in the menacing world of celebrity internet death hoax that reports about false celebrity deaths to stir up fans.
