Dec 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A creation of a holiday themed cola machine which included a large sphere shape container and several 2 liter coke bottles attached to the rim of the sphere. Adam and Jamie’s plan is to create a large cola explosion using Mentos mints. The experiment is to see if the explosion of cola could produce energy to start a domino affect of effects, when the cola is mixed with the Mentos. First attempt of the experiment was a bust and things we set up to retry. Second attempt worked partially well stalling just a few tricks in, before long several other attempts failed as well. Reconstructing the equipment used to complete the domino effect of the experiment, they begin again. After changing the structure of the devices and attempting the cola explosion one more time it went perfectly with out a problem. Producing the domino effect of bowling, trains running on track and robots movi ng.
The tree team included Karri and Terry experimenting to see what liquid chemicals are best to keep your tree fresh looking for Christmas. One tree is kept watered using a mix of fertilizer, another with lemon and lime soda, next is a mixture of bleach and water, last one has it’s based filled with a substance that increases blood flow to the male anatomy(Viagra). The final tree is actually spared with urethane giving it a plastic coating hoping to keep the moisture of the tree in the free. Six weeks into the Christmas tree experiment shows that just using water to keep your tree moist was not the best way, what was a success was spraying the tree with urethane (hair spray). The dangers of using hair spray is the fact that using Christmas lights could cause a fire hazard.
Kerri, Torrey and Grant went on to start the next experiment of how dangerous it is to drop a frozen turkey on a pet or person. First test is what would happen if the turkey was dropped on a persons foot. A fake foot encased in a gel like substance will demonstrate the damages that the foot would suffer if this happened in the home. The turkey dropped on the foot with a force of 700 lb. per pressure crushing the foot. Showing you should not drop a turkey on your foot or you will be visiting the emergency room pronto. They next used a small replica of a pet pooch, which demonstrated dropping a frozen turkey of your pet would be fatal. Bottom line do not drop a frozen turkey on you or your pet!
