Mystery bidder pays $100K for a private Stevie Wonder concert
October 25th, 2010 - 1:05 pm ICT by ANINew York, Oct 25 (ANI): A mystery bidder is reported to have paid a generous amount for a Stevie Wonder’s private performance of his classic “Superstition” at his home.
Following Wonder’s appearance at the benefit for Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Camps at Lincoln Center, the charity received an unexpected “after hours” donation of 100,000 dollars for an intimate, one-song concert with the superstar, the New York Post reports.
The event, which raised more than 3 million dollars, attracted Meryl Streep, Bette Midler, Lyle Lovett, Renee Zellweger, Bill Cosby and John Mellencamp. (ANI)
