My love for Rebecca was real: Ricky Martin
August 16th, 2011 - 3:34 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 16 (IANS) Singer Ricky Martin, who announced last year that he is gay, dismissed reports that his romance with Latino television presenter Rebecca De Alba was an experiment to test his homosexuality, insisting the love was “very real”.
In an exclusive episode of the “Behind the Music” television series on VH1, the singer admitted that he really was in love with Rebecca, reports contactmusic.com.
“Sometimes you can’t explain what it is exactly that attracts you to someone, that amazing magnetism,” said the 39-year-old.
“Everything that I felt at that moment was pure. A lot of people might say, ‘Well, you were trying to justify yourself; maybe you were trying to prove yourself…’ It is complicated… but, at that moment, it felt real; it felt amazing,” he added.
