My Ensembles Are Real Stars Of The Show - Varun Bahl

August 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Designer Varun Bahl a media shy person does not like Bollywood celebs walking the ramp and showcasing his ensembles. Bahl designs for a devoted European clientele and he wants his creations to be the real stars of the glittering show.
Bahl recently said that he has nothing against Bollywood celebs. However, at the same time he feels that their presence eclipses the beauty of his ensembles. The designed when being displayed should be the only attraction of the show. It is quite disheartening to see the audience and media lavishing their attention on the Bollywood biggies.
He says that it is the designers who put in heaps of hard work to translate their innovative ideas into remarkable designs and therefore, their efforts must be appreciated. The Delhi-based designer had launched his label Varun Bahl in the year 2004.
A graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Varun is known for the use of inventive and exclusive fabrics and as well as mixing drapes in his designs. His mastery in this craft is such that he has become one of the youngest couturiers in India and has participated in two consecutive seasons of the Mumbai Couture Week.
