Los Angeles, Nov 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In what can be termed as Manic-Monday, there are so many music releases today by various stalwarts of the industry, like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert and so many others. It is probably 2009’s biggest music release day.

But in what can be termed as surprises, all the tracks aren’t new that are being released today. The Britney Spears release is a ‘hits’ collection along with versions of Beyonce’s “I Am… Sasha Fierce” (with two bonus tracks). Lady Gaga release is “The Fame” (now called “The Fame Monster” thanks to eight new tracks).

Along with these re-hashed versions, there are the real actual records too, so it is going to be an interesting battle in the coming weeks to see who reaches the next week’s No. 1 sales spot and the top Billboard spots too, are up for grabs.

Maybe this huge release day can prove to be a shot in the arm for the recession hit music industry where sales where down by 15% in 2008.
