Michael Jackson’s father Joe Jackson is planning to honor his dead son Michael Jackson by making a museum on him, and that too in his hometown.

michael-jackson-concert-2 Even the mayor of Gary, Indiana is keen on the idea and is giving his full support for the ambitious project. The idea is still in the planning stages and there is no confirmed word on the actual exhibits of the museum.

In fact the financial turnover of the museum is on everyone’s mind. The mayor of Gary is estimating that the Jackson Family Museum and Michael Jackson Performing Arts Center could bring in an annual revenue of over $100 million to $150 million per year, into the hometown of the late King of Pop.

Mayor Rudy Clay is so excited about the project and the financial implications that it could have for the small town because MJ’s childhood home has shown a steady rise in visitors, since his death last year. “The people we see every day of the year that’s coming in to look at 2300 Jackson St. is mind-boggling,” Clay said.

The promoter of the project is Simon Sahouri, and he said that according to his estimates there could be 500,000 to 750,000 visitors in a year.
