New York, Oct. 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In an announcement made earlier this month, MTV had revealed that it is planning to go ahead with the telecast of the series titled “Gone Too Far.” It is the same venture that had seen the late celebrity DJ Adam ‘AM’ Goldstein donning the robe of the host. The network started airing promo clips of the same from the dawn of October and the show is all set to premiere on television today, Oct. 12 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
“Gone Too Far” is an eight episode [each 1 hour long] reality television show that focuses on the issue of young addicts who fall in the age group of about 20 to 25, struggling with many problems related to drug abuse. The show was to see the renowned DJ AM in an entirely different avatar from the usual ones that is is commonly identified with. Goldstein, who is known to have had a history of drug and substance abuse, was to lend his personal insights in to the matter to make it all the more interesting to the viewers.
According to reports, it has been revealed that the network had been granted permission to go ahead with the airing of the show by the family of the celebrity DJ. After the death of the DJ in the month of August [28th], there had been some amount of doubts regarding the fate of the already taped series. The reason mostly being that Goldstein was reported to have died from an accidental overdose of drug and was later found by the cops at his New York apartment.
