a971c2_ltpdshusterNew York, Apr 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a recent development, David Shuster, a news anchor for MSNBC network has been suspended by it and the suspension is for an indefinite period of time. The network suspended him after it came to know that he took part in a test for an upcoming show for rival news channel CNN. MSNBC found the act totally in violation of its policies and acted accordingly. The deal of the anchor with MSNBC was about to end by the end of this year. Phil Griffin, the MSNBC President became quite agitated when he came to know about the incident and decided to stop him from appearing on the channel.

It is not the first time that anchor David Shuster has locked horns with network executives. His Twitter posts targeting James O’Keefe, a conservative activist drew him flaks and for it he had to say sorry later. His comments on Chelsea Clinton during the 2008 presidential race got him a two week suspension as well. Earlier, he worked for the Fox News and shifted to MSNBC in 2002. The news of the anchor appearing in the CNN test was published in the New York Observer and when the MSNBC executives saw it, they were annoyed. More punishment may be in store for him, as the network officials have said.

CNN on its part has declined to make any statement on that issue. The suspended anchor has not appeared on MSNBC on Monday, when the action was taken. The MSNBC president later replied to an angry fan who was disappointed with the action taken against the news anchor.
