MSNBC anchor David Shuster suspended over his CNN gig

New York, Apr 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) MSNBC has suspended one of its anchors David Shuster, because he appeared on the pilot of a CNN show. His suspension came as no surprise, as CNN and MSNBC have been archrivals since long. There were rumors of the CNN pilot featuring David, since a number of weeks. But the MSNBC officials came to know for sure about the CNN pilot show, after the New York Observer ran a story about how a MSNBC anchor had appeared on the CNN show. His suspension was also confirmed by a spokesperson of the network. On Tuesday, a network spokesperson said that, “David has been suspended indefinitely.”

David Shuster’s contract with MSNBC is valid till December 2010. He has been a part of the MSNBC family since the last 8 years. He was a correspondent and an anchor, and during the course of his career stint with MSNBC, he was instrumental in covering major events like the Hurricane Katrina and even the Presidential campaigns. Prior to working at MSNBC, he was at the FOX News Channel for 6 years (1996 to 2002). In his stint at FOX he was a Washington DC based correspondent.
