knightanddaymovie Los Angeles, Jul 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tom Cruise is a lucky actor indeed. The production house of his latest movie ‘Knight And Day’ has asked the ruthless critics not to blame the actor for the flop movie. They said that he has nothing to do with the poor showing of the movie.

The movie is in the genre of the ‘action-comedy’ and Tom’s co-star in the movie was Cameron Diaz. Despite such heavyweights, the movie managed to rake in just $20.5 million, which is said to be the worst ever opening for any Tom Cruise movie in the last two decades.

At the poor opening of the movie, the critics blasted off the Top Gun star, and suggested that he is no longer popular, as he used to be in his hey days.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Tony Sella, who is the co-president of marketing at 20th Century Fox said that, “Blame me, don’t blame Tom Cruise. We did lots of focus groups for this film, and no one ever said there was a star problem. Never. Tom Cruise was not the issue. I take full responsibility. And if the movie ends up going to $100 million, I want full responsibility, too.”
