If you have been missing Morena Baccarin on the silver screen too much then there is great news for you. The sultry actress has been cast in the remake of the old TV series, “V”. This TV series of the 80s was about aliens who were engaged in a conspiracy to takeover Earth. Baccarin has been cast in the role of the alien leader which was played by Jane Badler in the original series. News has it that Alan Tudyk has also been cast in the show. Tudyk played the role of Wash in “Firefly.” though there has been no formal announcement as yet it is being guessed that ABC will pick up “V.”

Baccarin is a Brazilian actress of Italian background. Her claim to fame was her role as Inara Serra in the “Firefly” series. Though her role in this sci-fi series was a short lived yet Baccarin was able to create a favorable impression in the minds of the audience. Few will know that Baccarin’s first movie was Perfume (2001), which was based on the world of fashion. After this movie she was a part of the movie called “Way Off Broadway” in 2001. Baccarin received critical fame with her role alongside Natalie Portman in the Central Park Production, “The Seagull.”

“Firefly” was Morena Baccarin’s first tryst with television. She received very favorably by the audience for her performance. After this series she appeared in a number of television appearances. In 2006, she played the role of Adria, a villain in the tenth season of “Stargate SG-1.”
