Monty Python launches own YouTube channel
November 21st, 2008 - 2:58 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, Nov 21 (ANI): The stars of British comedy troupe Monty Python have launched their own YouTube channel, offering high-quality free clips of some of their most popular skits.
The five surviving Pythons Michael Palin, Eric Idle, John Cleese, Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam struck back on people who had been illegally uploading their sketches onto the site by taking matters into their own hands.
“We know who you are, we know where you live and we could come after you in ways too horrible to tell,” the Telegraph quoted them as writing in a light-hearted message on the website.
“But being the extraordinarily nice chaps we are, we”ve figured a better way to get our own back: We”ve launched our own Monty Python channel on YouTube.
“No more of those crap quality videos you”ve been posting. We”re giving you the real thing HQ videos delivered straight from our vault,” they added.
The site, which went live last week, features celebrated Python clips including Ministry of Silly Walks, Every Sperm is Sacred and the Lumberjack Song, as well as famous scenes from their film Life Of Brian. (ANI)
