“Monk” Finale Immensely Enjoyed By Audience

Dec.05, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The much anticipated finale of the popular American television series ‘Monk‘, which was aired on Friday was immensely enjoyed by all the fans of the television series. The audiences were expecting a lot from the finale episode, which was part of the eighth season and the episode surely managed to live up to the expectations- with its interesting turn of events and gripping story line.
The concluding episode turned out to be hugely satisfying for the viewers in terms of the characters and also left the viewers with a feeling of closure. The episode brought an end to Adrian Monk’s [the central character] search for the murderer of his wife Trudy and tries to find out details relating to her death. It is finally revealed that the decade old murder was committed by Judge Rickover, who knew Monk’s wife from her college days. It is revealed that the judge murdered Trudy to hide the fact that they both were seeing each other during their college days and moreover, he had also fathered a child with Trudy. At the same time, the audiences also came to know that in order to hide the entire story, the judge also had the midwife killed. Ultimately the judge, played by Craig T. Nelson kills himself during the climax, which gives a distinct closure to the series.
With the episode, the series which ran for an illustrious eight years came to an end and like all the other seasons, the two part series finale ensured that the audiences are glued to the television screens with the first part of the finale receiving an amazing 5.82 million viewership.
