March 6, 2010 (Pen Men At Work): Mo’nique, the outspoken American comedienne and actress, has confessed that she is in an ‘open marriage’ with Sidney Hicks. She has, nevertheless, clarified the significance of the phrase ‘open marriage’, which has been interpreted in different ways by diverse individuals. She, however, has constructed the reputation of being an untraditional female.

About ‘open marriage’, Mo’nique has revealed that she has not had sexual relations outside her marriage with Sidney Hicks. She, nonetheless, has confessed that the probability of her husband, Hicks, having had sexual ties exists. But Mo’nique has stated that wouldn’t destroy their marriage. Mo’nique has proclaimed that the discovery of sexual infidelity wouldn’t automatically lead to the decimation of their matrimony, adding that she and her husband have been wonderful supporters of each other for more than 25 years. Mo’nique has further claimed that, on many occasions, people enter into a marital alliance but are unaware of the person with whom they are sleeping. She has declared that her association with her husband is enormously safe and sound and that she is at ease with her spouse.

Mo’nique, who has had a memorable career in the world of acting, has received several accolades, nominations and awards for her acting in several films and TV programs in the past. The list includes successes such as her performances in the comical series ‘The Parkers’, movies such as ‘The Two Can Play That Game’ and ‘Soul Plane’. She received much massive recognition due to her commendable performances in these films and programs.
