Mo’Nique wins best supporting actress Oscar
March 8th, 2010 - 10:09 am ICT by IANSLos Angeles, March 8 (IANS) Mo’Nique won the supporting actress for playing a bully in “Precious”, based on the novel “Push” by Sapphire at the 82nd Academy Awards.
“I would like to thank the Academy for showing that it is about performance and not about politics… Thank you my ‘Precious’ family and my husband,” said an emotional Mo’Nique after winning her first Oscar.
