Hollywood, Jan 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mo’Nique tried to downplay the conventional beauty theories when she turned up at the Golden Globes award ceremony and showed off her hairy legs. Since the red carpet at the venue was rain-soaked, so she even lifted up her gown and showed off much more than she bargained for.

“I must show America what a real leg looks like . . . because it’s too much in the morning, every morning, to shave, to cut, you got Band-aids baby,” she said to Dianne Sawyers on The View. The 42 years old actress allegedly displayed her flurry hairy legs when she pulled up the skirt of her long gown on the red carpet. She seemed to be unaware of her forgotten grooming as she bagged the best supporting actress title for her performance as an abusive mother in Precious, reports News.com.au.

At the awards ceremony she won the Best Supporting actress for her portrayal in ‘Precious’. Earlier she had said that, she could fulfill the acting requirements for most part of the movie, but some scenes demanded so much hate from her that she almost had an emotional breakdown. “There was one time that I got scared because I didn’t think that my mind or heart could go to that place,” the comedian and actress said.

She won hearts and minds alike, with her touching acceptance speech, dedicating it to abuse victims all over the world. She said: “For every person who’s ever been touched (inappropriately), it’s time to tell.”
