Los Angeles, May 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Singer Moby is not convinced that what Britney Spears and Ke$ha produce is music. The 45-year-old made it clear that by his definition of music, the works produced by the duo falls short. He was speaking to the Spinner.

His exact words were, “It’s fun, but I don’t think of it as music. It’s manufactured. I appreciate it as a pop culture phenomenon and some of the songs I like if I hear them in a shopping mall or something, but it doesn’t function as music for me.”

To Moby, true music should “communicate emotion and integrity in a really interesting, direct way.” He stressed that he is not criticizing the two but added that it is erroneous to call the piece produced by Spears and Ke$ha as music.

Moby has a history with Spears. The duo collaborated on the album “In The Zone” which was released in 2003. He gave his opinion on why he thinks Spears faced challenges in her life. Moby believes that being a star at the age that Spears did might be one of the reasons why she struggled.

Spear’s album “Femme Fatale” was recently released and the singer will be on tour this summer. She will be joined by Nicki Minaj on the tour.
