Moby baffled by success
May 10th, 2011 - 6:52 am ICT by IANSLondon, May 10 (IANS) American DJ Moby has admitted he doesn’t understand why he is so successful because he hasn’t got a clue about what he is doing.
“I’m perpetually baffled by the whole thing. I’ve made records everyone has hated and I’ve loved and made records that everyone has loved and I’ve deemed, at best, mediocre,” contactmusic.com quoted Moby as saying.
“I don’t know how all this happened. I’ve honestly never had a clue what I’m doing,” he added.
The 45-year-old star became a worldwide success with his track “Go” in 1991 and admits he only expected his music career to last a year and considered other work options for the future.
“I had decided I would look for work in a bookshop and music would become like a hobby.
Honestly, that’s what I assumed would happen,” he added.
