Detroit, Oct 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The New York Yankees have fallen behind after they lost game three in their playoff series against the Detroit Tigers. That makes Tuesday Night’s game between the two a must win for the Yankees if they want to prevent a humiliation elimination from the series.

The Tigers won the game 5-4 in front of a capacity crowd at the Detroit stadium. The star of the game was Justin Verlander. He made all the difference during the play, taking control of the game and preventing the Yankees stars from shining.

After the game, Verander gave the credit for the win to the effort of the entire team. He congratulated his other teammates and said that, “I lost my rhythm for three batters and all of a sudden, you look up and it’s a tie game. But this team has a never-say-die attitude. We did what we’ve done all year, which is either come from behind or have a big hit when we need it.”

The Yankees will have to win Game 4 on Tuesday night if they want to avoid elimination from the series. They are currently trailing 1-2 in the series. A win for the Yankees will take the series to five games.
