MJ’s son Blanket asks godfather has daddy gone ‘on holiday’

London, July 21 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s friend Mark Lester, who also happens to be godfather to the late King of Pop’s seven-year-old son Blanket, has revealed that his eyes were filled with tears when the bewildered kid looked at him, and declared innocently that he thought his dad was simply away on holiday.
Mark said that he had the emotional conversation with the child after the moving memorial service to the King of Pop in Los Angeles.
“It is obvious to me that Blanket is still unsure about what exactly happened to his father,” the Mirror quoted the 50-year-old former child actor as having told Hello! Magazine.
“He said, ‘Where’s Daddy gone? On holiday?’ It was a rhetorical question and it broke my heart.
“Prince was taciturn, unusual for him, but we still had a hug.
“Paris gave me a tight hug and we just held each other for a while. We were both welling up. I told her that her dad would always lie in her heart and be remembered by at least half of the world,” he added.
Paris, according to the report, replied: ‘I’m just glad he is at peace.’”
Mark is planning to attend a second funeral, when Michael’s body is finally laid to rest. (ANI)
