London, August 10 (ANI): Late King of Pop Michael Jackson had reportedly offered 800,000 dollars to a doctor in a desperate bid to feed his prescription drugs addiction, in the run up to his 50-date concert tour.

The singer had a lethal amount of powerful anaesthetic Propofol in his system when he died, if leaked autopsy reports are to be believed.

Though an official cause of his death is yet to be stated, speculation continues that the star died after taking a dangerously high dose of the surgical painkiller.

The “Thriller” hitmaker allegedly begged British medic, Dr Susan Etok, to help him grab a list of drugs, including powerful painkillers Diprivan (Propofol) and Demerol.

“He kept saying, ‘Are you going to do it for me, you are going to do it for me, aren’t you?’ He was desperate, like a child begging his mum for sweets. Then he said, ‘I don’t care what it takes, I don’t care how much money it takes - if it costs half a million, that’s fine,’” the Daily Star quoted Susan as telling Britain’s Sunday Mirror newspaper.

“Then he said there were medications he took in the States that he needed. He said the names but they didn’t mean much to me. The one name I recognised was Diprivan. I knew it was something to do with anaesthetics and thought that seemed strange. But Michael kept saying, ‘They’re just routine’,” she added.

Erok further said that Jackson suggested an alternate way of getting hold of the drug when she declined to help him.

She added: “He told me not to worry - he would get someone else to help out.” (ANI)
