London, November 14 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s film This Is It that maps the last days of the star has amassed more than 200 millions dollars at cinemas worldwide.
Producer Sony Pictures revealed nearly 30 per cent of the collection, 61 million dollars, came from the US and Canada.
The two-hour film, helmed by Kenny Ortega, was rolled out worldwide on October 28 and went on to gross more than 20 million dollars on its first day in cinemas, reports The BBC.
The massive opening haul led movie bosses to extend its two-week run until early December.
The documentary features behind the scenes footage of the King of Pop as he rehearsed for his sold-out comeback concerts in London before his sudden death on June 25. (ANI)
