Moonwalker Los Angeles, Jan 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ArcLight Theater’s ambition to screen Michael Jackson’s “Moonwalker” in the United States for the first time met a snag according to TMZ.

The plea for the movie to be shown on American screens came from fans of the late singer. ArcLight accepted the challenge after the fans took to Facebook for their plea.

That though might not be possible at least for now. That is because the owners to the right of the movie, MJ Estate has made it clear to ArcLight that they do not intend to screen the movie now.

ArcLight announced that they first contacted the producers and directors of the movie. It was then that they were directed to MJ Estate whose attorneys told the theater that they are not interested in the screening.

The theater said that, “We contacted the films directors and producers and were finally directed to MJ Estate’s attorney. They let us know the estate has the rights, but ‘have no plans to make… prints available for rent at this time.”

It is bad news now but it doesn’t mean that the movie might never be screened in the future in the United States. That may happen some other time and not now.
