Miss World 2009 Finalists revealed

Johannesburg, Dec 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The prestigious beauty contest Miss World 2009 is in progress now, and it is being held in Johannesburg, South Africa. It features 112 beautiful contestants from around the globe. This contest was started 25 years ago. And it is the brainchild of Julia Morley. A charity foundation is also involved with this beauty pageant, as the theme of the beauty pageant is ‘Beauty With A Purpose’. And the foundation has raised over $400 million dollars since its inception.
The 7 finalists of the Miss World 2009 chosen by the illustrious judges out of the 16 semi-finalists, are as follows:
Miss. South Africa
Miss. Columbia
Miss. Panama
Miss. Canada
Miss. Mexico
Miss. Gibraltar
Miss. France
All the other beauty queens who didn’t make it to the final list didn’t seem disappointed at all. They were very happy for their roomates who made it into the main final list. The roomates of the seven finalists are very happy that even though they couldn’t make it to the top list, their friend and soul-mate made it onto the list and have a shot at the main dazzling crown.
