This year the organizers of the beauty pageant have taken many photographs of the contestants in nothing but body paint and they are trying their best to publicize the event through them. However some former organizers of the contest aren’t amused at all.

According to a “former pageant-organization worker” – Angie Meyer, the event and the idea to promote the event with body paint photos is shocking, because she feels that it is very ‘PlayBoy-ish’ in essence. According to Fox News, Angie said that, “It’s alarming that this has been turned into a Playboy-esque masquerade. By implementing topless photos as part of the pageant process, they’re putting applicants in an extremely compromising position.”

However the officials of the Trump Organization, which is also organizing the Miss Universe pageant, said in their defense that their thought behind the body paint photographs was just to celebrate the diversity of the contestants and not to promote nudity. In a statement, Lark-Marie Anton, who is the vice president of marketing and public relations for pageant said that, “The contestants who compete at Miss Universe are diverse, as they represent more than 82 countries around the globe. Many of their cultures embrace nudity.”
