Not many had hoped that Katie Lynn LaRoche would be exuded from the final round as the 23-year-old was certainly not just another dolled up contestant at the national beauty pageant.

Although Katie Lynn LaRouche, a graduate who attended Bay City Central High School and Michigan State University, could not make it to the final round but Miss Michigan has left with a mark at the beauty pageant with her outstanding contribution in the field of community service. Back at home, fans cheered aloud for the Bay City resident praying hard for Katie Lynn LaRoche. However, even after she was barred from entering into the finals, fans did not stop cheering for this brainy beauty as she had already accomplished one of her tasks a day before. On Friday, the jury decided to award Katie Lynn LaRouche with the Quality of Life Award which is given as a mark of recognition to that contestant who has proved her talent in community service. The award consists of a $6,000 scholarship.

Mark Sprygada, President of the Miss Bay County Scholarship Organization said that though they were sad to think that Katie Lynn LaRouche’s could not make it to the final round, they were happy that she had acheived her mission to raise awareness against human trafficking on the national platform. Katie Lynn LaRoche now intends to pursue a career in International Policy.
