Every girl has dreams of her prince charming, who she hopes to marry. She has an image of that ideal guy, with whom her life will turn out to be a perfect fairytale. But do these dreams always come true? What happens when these dreams meet the reality of life?

Rajshri Productions and Imagine have come together to find the answer and re-create the magic on the small screen yet again with “Do Hanson Ka Jodaa’ that premieres on January 18,2010 only on NDTV Imagine.

“Do Hanson Ka Jodaa’ is the story of Preeti, a young girl who always dreamt of a marriage like they show in the movies– “picture perfect’! But destiny has other plans for her. She finds herself married to Suryakamal, an ordinary looking middle-class man. He is not in any way like the image of her Mr. Perfect that she had always dreamt of. The show traces Preeti’s journey as she struggles to adjust to this new reality in her life. Will she be able to accept Suryakamal’s shortcomings and find love? Or will she continue the search for the man of her dreams?

The main protagonist Preeti will be played by the mesmerizing Shubhangi Atre and the dashing Shaleen Bhanot will be seen in a different avatar essaying the character of her husband Suryakamal. Reema Lagoo returns to the small screen after two years hiatus as Shubhangi’s mother, Snehalata. Ali Merchant, Nupur Joshi, Naveen Sen, Praneeta Sahu, Kuldeep Mallick and Prithvi Zutshi amongst others are also part of the magnificent star cast.

Adds Kavita Batjatya, TV Division Producer, Rajshri Productions, “This is our second show on Imagine and the bond has emerged stronger. “Do Hanson Ka Jodaa’ is a story or a situation we all have been through in our lives. It sometimes seems that two individuals who have come together are so different so unlike, but as time goes by we realize that these two individuals have been destined to come together to complete and fulfill each other. This is Preeti’s story who’s dreams of life just like it happens in the movies so beautiful… so perfect. But how life brings to her the partner Suryakamal who is opposite of her dreams, but who is a hero of her real life.”
