Aug 13 (IBNS) Following her innings with a psychiatric ward, Mischa Barton is finally back at work. She seems to have conquered her demons, for now, at least.

The troubled actress was sectioned under a US mental health clause last month after police were called to her home.

Mischa was reportedly drifting herself deeper into a destructive life of debauched hard-partying, and wasn’t prepared to change her ways.

However, sporting a smile and a healthy complexion on the Manhattan set of her new TV show The Beautiful Life, the pretty star appears to have attained a buoyant mood.

Dressed in a stunning gold dress, Mischa enjoyed a giggle with co-star Nico Tortorella during breaks in shooting.

In the Ashton Kutcher-produced series, Mischa plays a model struggling to keep up with her younger counterparts.

Mischa Anne Marsden Barton, (born 24 January 1986) is a British-American film, television, and stage actress, perhaps best known for her role as Marissa Cooper in the American television series The O.C.

When asked in interviews if she feels English or American, she states she feels English.

Mischa Barton was born in Hammersmith, London, United Kingdom to an Irish mother, Nuala (née Quinn), a photographer, and an English father, Paul Marsden Barton, a foreign exchange broker. She has two sisters, younger Hania and elder Zoe, a barrister in London. Barton moved to New York City at the age of five and became a naturalized citizen of the United States in Los Angeles on 3 February 2006.
