Miranda Cosgrove sports a cast after a nasty accident
August 15th, 2011 - 6:21 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, 15 Aug (THAINDIAN NEWS) Miranda Cosgrove was spotted at the Los Angeles International Airport being pushed in a wheelchair. The teen iCarly star was involved in a nasty auto accident while traveling in her tour bus on Thursday.
According to the entertainment website E! Online, Miranda fractured her toe in the accident which happened when the tour bus collided with a tractor trailer. The accident happened in Illinois when she was on her way to perform in Kansas. The driver of the bus came off worse in the accident.
Miranda’s mother who was also in the bus was injured as well. However driver Randy McClure is currently in the intensive care unit where his condition has been listed as stable. Hospital officials say he is expected to recover from his injuries. The hospital said McClure is currently out of unconsciousness.
18-year-old Miranda expressed her appreciation to her fans. She wrote on her Twitter page that, “Thank u so much for all your messages. They mean so much to me. Yesterday was extremely scary & I’m just so happy everyone’s going to be okay.”
The accident has caused Miranda to put the remainder of her tour on hold. New dates have not been announced for the postponed concerts.
